Amazing local Dominican spot in the Poconos. We stopped off after a day indulging in winter sports. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the portion sizes were generous. There was a good amount of variety on the menu, and the food was flavorful as expected. We found a hidden gem in the Poconos and we are happy to return when we are in the area.
Authentic Dominican food with so much flavor. Stopped here on my way home from Mt Pocono and was so impressed I had to leave a review right away. Very affordable for generous portions. Will definitely be returning!
In a small strip of stores near Mount Airy Resorts & Casino in rural Pennsylvania is where you can find some REALLY good quality Latin food! La Parada is a medium sized Dominican restaurant with a wide variety of prepared foods in warmers, and even more menu items available upon order. We saw rotisserie chicken, beef stew, and pork ribs (among others) being kept warm at the counter... But the dish we chose was the PERNIL with yellow rice and beans. A home-made beef empanada would accompany that. The empanada was good (albeit a bit light on the filling), the yellow rice and beans were great, and the Pernil was phenomenal. One of the items they offer is mofongo! They said that requires 20 minutes to prepare, and we couldn't wait... But next time!!!
Great service and very hospitable. The food was excellent!!!!!! A great place to go if you get that itch for some Dominican food. Even if you don't get that itch stop by and get some food. The best meal we had in the area. We didn't even get to take photos, LOL!!!

Delicious food, great price and great customer service. We had the arroz moro with pernil and the pernil was super flavorful and moist. The empanadas were fresh and we will definitely be back.
I was just driving back to the hotel with my family when I happened to see this restaurant from the road. We were excited to see a Spanish restaurant in the neighborhood. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food was so flavorful and delicious. We had alcapurrias, empanadas, pernil with yellow rice and the chicken with rice. The coffee was excellent too. Very satisfied and will definitely be going back again!
Came and ordered some meals to go and really just sticking to what was available since, anything we asked for, they ran out of it before we got there. Came here because food at the resort was awful. Food tasted good and if around the area, we'll come back maybe at an earlier time so we have better options.
